Alien - genuine quality release - 4.5 out of 5 (4/10/2002)
Still considered by most DVD fanatics I know to be one of the best DVD's ever released. Why? The commentary by Ridley Scott, The multiple scenes cut from the film, and the optional music and production audio tracks. Try it, you'll like it.

'Alien' is without a doubt the greatest sci-fi movie ever made... - 4 out of 5 (8/20/2001)
... precisely because it is not a sci-fi movie. It is Gothic horror in its purest form. The sci-fi elements are background scenery, and nohing more.
But, ever how you may want to classify it, 'Alien' is one of the top five greatest movies of all time.

"Instant Classic" - 4.25 out of 5 (5/8/2001)
This 1979 release is one of those movies that is truly original "top-notch sci-fi horror suspense thriller". I have not seen any other movies in same genre that has the same caliber, not even the most recent ones.
What I find intresting is the commentary track of Ridley Scott on how clever he is in creating scenario during the filming and I hope he continues his originally fascinating world that goes beyond our immagination as he mentioned on the commentary track.
